Sometimes I get bogged down in the system because I’m afraid of putting the wrong color. Lol I need simple for my little simple mind. lol. I do like your system and will have to try it out. Thanks for sharing!!

I love that! No one needs to comment on your Bible – it’s such a personal item!!

That’s okay! You should be able to use those, it would just take a little longer to melt them!

I highlight, put question marks if the verse just doesn’t seem to make sense to me, say things like, “Ooooh am I doing this?” or “Woops, I really need some work here!” , draw something or use stickers to highlight on the verse, jot down a hymn or song title that reminds me of the verse. I drew pants to remind me about a sermon we once had and my granddaughter when quite young asked me about it and then proceeded to draw pants all over the cover. Someone once asked me what the deal was with all the pants and I told how they came to be and she said, it was a mess. I said, my Bible is my story and my mess and not to worry about my Bible. It’s me and sometimes I am messy.” Others have said “Gee that’s really cool!”

I meal prep my husband’s lunches and mine about every 10 days. We eat the meals for dinner and then I pack up leftovers for our work lunches. He gets chicken, rice, and beans. I have salmon patties to have on a salad. I also meal prep our eggs for the week: soft boiled for my husband to have with his oatmeal and hard boiled for my salads. For my breakfast, I make a big batch of chia pudding to eat with fruit and almonds. We aim for no to low sugar/bread/dairy too!

I should meal prep but I always find Sundays so busy and I need to unwind a bit with the family… We have Church from 11 to 13 pm so it’s half day there… So I don’t want to be all afternoon cooking…

You’re so honest and practical! I like using Monday as a sort of reset day also! I would love to hear more about what meal prep you do on Monday for the week also! 😊

Now I do! Quite a few things I do each day, but my daily themes are: Monday ~ cleaning rotation (usually rotate bathrooms and dusting, other things as needed) & Sunday School prep (hubby and I teach 4-5yos); Tuesday ~ some groceries & meal planning for the next week; Wednesday ~ working at my parents’ house (they recently moved into assisted living, but their house still has lots of stuff in it!); Thursday ~ catch up; Friday ~ main groceries, kitchen & food prep, planning for the next week. *Errands and projects as needed/as time allows. Weekends are also family and church time for us, with a few productive things thrown in. I LOVE the idea of having a catch up/REST day! Still working on the resting, but once Friday’s “dailies” are done, I feel like I can relax a little. 🙂
